No one injured in Kannapolis house fire

KANNAPOLIS – Two adults, one child and two cats escaped unharmed from a burning home on Hahn Street Monday morning.
Kannapolis fire crews responded to the home about 2:47 a.m. and found heavy smoke and fire at the rear of the residence.
A press release Monday morning said the fire remains under investigation.
South Ridge Avenue was closed for about two hours while crews extinguished the blaze.
The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the family.
Kannapolis Police, Cabarrus County EMS, Landis Fire and Odell Volunteer Fire departments also assisted.
