Yesterday: the 1947-48 kindergarten class, located at the Utzman-Chambers House

Windsor Eagle, retired principal of Salisbury High School, recently came across this photograph from his kindergarten days. The class, from the 1947-48 school year, was held in the historic Utzman-Chambers House on South Jackson Street, and this picture is taken on the steps of the house. Eagle says most of the children in this photograph went on to graduate high school in 1960. The class was taught by a Mrs. Vaughn, the adult on the right. Eagle, by the way, is the young lad to the far left on the top row of children.
