Teen shot after walking home from party provides few details
Investigators are trying to determine who shot a Salisbury teen walking home from a party Sunday morning. The teen, who is not being named, told police he attended a party not far from the 1600 block of West Innes Street, near Domino’s Pizza. The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m.
The 19-year-old told Salisbury Police he had ridden with some friends, but wasn’t sure where the party was held. He decided to leave and began walking home. He was on Brenner Avenue when he heard gunshots. He began to run and fell down. The teen felt some pain, but believed he scraped his leg. His parents woke the teen the next day after they saw a trail of blood from the front door leading to his bedroom. He got cleaned up and his parents took him to the hospital emergency room. The teen had two gunshot wounds to the right thigh and lower left leg. He was not seriously injured. The teen was not able to recall many details of what happened, a report said. It is not clear whether this was a random incident, officials said.
