Youth council seeking members

The Salisbury Youth Council is a group of ninth-12th graders who live in the city limits of Salisbury coming together to learn leadership, teamwork, responsibility and lifelong skills to prepare each member for the future. Service projects, volunteer events and community programs provide experiences for each value.

The youth council meets every first and third Friday of the month during the academic school year. Emergency meetings and events/projects may take place year round.

Joining the SYC allows student to gain knowledge about leadership, service, and meet new people from the city and to have fun.

To apply for SYC pick up your application at your school’s guidance office or come by and pick up an application at the Human Resources Office at 132 N. Main St., second floor. Rising ninth-11th graders may apply for the 2013-2014 school year. All applications must be turned in by May 10.
