A Mount Ulla woman was charged Wednesday with felony larceny by an employee after police say she stole more than $200 worth of merchandise from the store where she worked.

A loss prevention officer at Marshall’s on Faith Road told police that employee Lauren Kimberly Foster, 25, of N.C. 801, was seen on video taking the merchandise.

A Salisbury Police Department report said Foster went into a stock room and took socks, infant clothing, women’s bathing suits, pet treats, soap and pants, then took with the items into another room and put them in her pocketbook. She then walked out of the store with the merchandise, a police department report said.

The merchandise was valued at $217, the report said.

Foster was released without bond into her mother’s custody. She is expected in court Friday.
