Painted pot project Sunday at Roller Mill Museum open house

CHINA GROVE — The Historical Society of South Rowan will hold its May open house at the China Grove Roller Mill Museum from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Children of all ages are invited to attend the painted pot project. South Rowan High School art students will assist participants in painting flower pots.


Goodman Farm Supply is providing pots, soil and flowers for planting in a keepsake planter.  

In addition, the museum will display original artwork from local high school students. The exhibit is provided in cooperation with the art department at South Rowan and teachers Jackie Elliott and Wayne Freeman.

Self-guided tours will also be available during this event. The public is invited and refreshments will be served.   

The Roller Mill Museum is also available for receptions, meetings and public events. For more information or to reserve the museum call Barbara Doby at 704-433-3912.
