Thieves take copper material from Rockwell company

Law enforcement officers are looking into who kicked in a door and stole copper wire from a Rockwell company sometime last week.

Thieves kicked through a back door of a shop at Lime Chem Inc., 8135 Red Road, where an employee said someone took 150 feet of wielding cable worth $500. The incident was reported April 25, but the material was last known to be secured April 23 around 7 a.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office at 704-216-8700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
