Man robbed, beaten while walking early this morning

Authorities are seeking help in finding a group of men who beat and robbed a Salisbury man who was walking early Tuesday morning.

The 31-year-old victim had been walking at 3:48 a.m. at the intersection of Locke Street and Wilson Road when he was approached by a man. The victim told Salisbury Police he was punched in the face. The man began to pull the victim off the sidewalk and was joined by several other men who began kicking and punching the victim.


The suspects took the victim’s Nike shoes, cell phone, wallet containing his identification card and $5. His baseball cap was also taken, he told police.

The man had cuts to his lower lip, but refused to be taken to the hospital.
