Local Bridge: Upcoming Tournaments

There are two tournaments coming up of interest to our area:

The first one runs May 3 through 5 in Morganton. Eldon Clayman is the chair. For more information call 828-439-1283 or email bridgbums@hci.net


The second is in Greensboro starting May 17 through 19. Mary Leger is the partnership chair. She can be reached by calling 336-327-6357 or emailing maryisleger@gmail.com

A website, set up for Unit 169, has results of all local games and information on sectionals and regionals including contacts and directions. There is also info for the Unit Games. The address is www.centralcarolinabridge.org

Evergreen bridge on Friday, April 19 was well attended.

Winners were: First, Patty King/Becky Creekmore; second, Pat Featherston/Dick Brisbin; third, Gloria Bryant/Betsy Bare; fourth, Jean and Loyd Hill. Thanks to Dick Brisbin for running the game.

Tuesday’s Women’s Club game winners were: First, Dick Brisbin/Steve Moore; second, Harold and Carol Winecoff; third, Judy Hurder/Gloria Bryant.
