Hear the Carolina Voices’ Festival Singers from Charlotte in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Their concert is titled “Music of Legends: From Bach to the Beatles.”

Celebrating legendary artists and composers who have shaped the world of music, the Festival Singers will offer a program of choral music from baroque to contemporary music, including repertoire by Bach, Whitacre, Ticheli and Gjeilo as well as selections from The Beatles.

Director Donna Hill will also première the piece, “The Voices” by Dale Warland, for choir and cello.

The Festival Singers, Carolina Voices’ “Classical” chamber choir, is comprised of 26-32 auditioned singers.

The ensemble specializes in presenting programs that have connections to spiritual and social topics of profound relevance and meaning, in an effort to inspire, engage and entertain its audiences.

The concert, sponsored by The FirstARTS series of First United Methodist Church, is free and open to the public.

An offering will be received for the Music Memorial Fund.

The church is located at 217 S. Church St. in downtown Salisbury.

For more information about the FirstARTS series, contact Matthew Brown, director of music, at matthew@fumcsalisbury.org, or 704-636-3121, extension 104.
