SALISBURY — Police say a woman mopping the floor at a Rushco early this morning looked out the window to see a nearly naked man.

A clerk at the convenience store, located at 929 S. Jake Alexander Blvd., told police she noticed a man standing just outside the window on the west side of building around 2:45 a.m.

The man was naked, wearing only an army-style hat and white shoes, holding a black shirt in his mouth. The woman described him as an overweight white male about 5 feet 8 inches tall.

She ran to lock the door and grab her phone, but when she looked back, he was gone.

A customer came to the store right after that, and when she told him what happened, they checked the side of the building and called 911. The clerk said she doesn’t know which way the suspect went.

Anyone with information is asked to call Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
