Historic Preservation Commission meets Thursday

SALISBURY — A homeowner who said he didn’t know he was in a historic district started exterior home renovations and will ask the Historic Preservation Commission to approve them after the fact.
The commission will meet in regular session at 5:15 p.m Thursday at the City Hall, 217 S. Main St. The agenda includes:
• Request for a certificate of appropriateness by Syed S. Mehdi of 1300 N. Main St. for changing windows, vinyl siding, new porches and trees cut around house. Seventy-five percent of the work has been completed without knowledge of being in a historic district.
