Two adults on board were uninjured when a Rowan-Salisbury School System bus overturned on Old Union Church Road around noon today.

A N.C. Highway Patrol trooper said only a driver and bus monitor were on the bus. The driver ran off the road and overcorrected, and the bus overturned.

The accident happened near Interstate 85 exit 79. Traffic remains blocked as officials await a tow truck to right the bus and tow it away.

It’s not yet clear where the bus was headed.
