Gerry and Mary Gay of Avondale Estates, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Paula Gay of Raleigh, to Philip Grant Culp of Raleigh.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Shirley and the late Bradley Gay of Ocala, Fla., and Carol and the late Robert Lancaster of St. Petersburg, Fla. A 2003 graduate of St. Pius X High School, Meredith graduated from Elon University in 2007 and attained her Master’s degree in Accounting from N.C. State University in 2008. She is an accountant for Fred Smith Company in Raleigh.

The future groom is the son of Philip and Patty Culp of Salisbury and the grandson of Amy May of Salisbury; the late Tracy Culp of Gold Hill; the late Floyd Eller of Salisbury; and the late Nancy Morgan of Salisbury. A 2001 graduate of East Rowan, he received his Bachelor of Science from N.C. State University in 2006. He is the General Superintendent of the Commercial Construction division of Fred Smith Company in Raleigh.

The wedding is June 15 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Raleigh.
