Salisbury man wanted on sex offense charges found in Iowa
SALISBURY — A man wanted on two sex offense charges is back in Rowan County this week after authorities found and arrested him in Iowa.
Robert Joseph Fiore, 54, of Sidney Drive, has been charged with two counts each of indecent liberties with children and first-degree sexual offense, both felony charges related to incidents involving a preteen female in 2012.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for Fiore’s arrest on Feb. 11, and he was found and taken into custody in Iowa. He was then extradited back to Rowan County, where he was taken to jail Wednesday.
As of this morning, he remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond.
