‘Wheel-cover angels’ provide a real pick-me-up on the road

Would you believe there are wheel-cover angels who watch over, protect and return your wheel cover to you just minutes after it somehow falls off your wheel?

Well, believe it. It is true! I believe it because it happened to me just the other day, April 8, around 5 p.m. on Jake Alexander Boulevard.

As I was driving along in quickly moving traffic, I felt compelled to look at the car to my right. The lady driver was holding my wheel cover and pointing to my right front wheel. I got the message and pointed to the Harris-Teeter store, where we could meet, and I could be reunited with my wheel cover. The cars and trucks behind us all waited for the two of us to move over to the turning lane by Goodwill. (Some of them probably saw the second lady get out of the other car to rescue my wheel cover from the street.)

Unfortunately, I was unable to get either lady’s name or phone number to thank both of them personally. Hope they read this letter and understand how very thankful I am for the safe return of my wheel cover, and for their efforts to make that happen.

I’m thankful, too, that neither of them was injured as they played “angel.” God bless you!
