SALISBURY — A man has been arrested in connection with an assault and possible stabbing off N.C. 150 on Thursday.

Aaron Reeves, 22, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Around 6:15 p.m. Thursday, emergency responders were called out to a home on Kentucky Derby Drive. Emergency scanner reports said a man had been stabbed, but Detective A.D. Loflin with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said he could not confirm that Thursday night.

Loflin said the victim was taken to the hospital, and the extent of his injuries is unknown. His name wasn’t released.

Shortly after the 911 call came in, officers began searching for Reeves as a suspect. Less than a half hour later, Reeves was in police custody, and around 8:45 p.m. he was booked in the Rowan County Detention Center. He remained there Thursday night under a $35,000 bond.
