GREENSBORO (AP) — North Carolina A&T has been put on lockdown after reports of a man with a rifle on the Greensboro school’s campus.

The university updated its website Friday morning to advise that students should stay inside and close and lock their doors and windows.

The school has more than 10,000 students and more than 2,000 employees.

The university’s office of public relations says it would release more information later.
