Man steals unattended car at Pop Shoppe convenience store

A man reported someone stole the car he left unattended with the key still in the ignition from Pop Shoppe on Monday just before 10:30 p.m.
The driver said the Toyota Camry was his mother’s. It was parked at the store, located at 1831 W. Innes St.,
A witness spotted someone get in the car, which was unlocked and still running. The witness told police she tried to follow the suspect, but lost sight of him as he headed toward Mocksville.
Salisbury Police are looking for a white male, 5 foot 6 inches with a small build. The suspect had brown hair, was wearing a red baseball cap, with a blue or gray shirt.
