CHINA GROVE – Emily Kathryn Yost and Brian Paul Currie were united in marriage Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, in a private family wedding at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ.
Rev. Mark Burns and brother of the groom Dave Currie officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony. The bride was escorted by her father, Bob Yost.
Emily is the daughter of Bob and Doris Yost of Salisbury and the granddaughter of George and Frances McGarity of Salisbury and John and Eva Yost of Mooresville. A 2001 graduate of West Rowan High School, she graduated from Appalachian State University in 2005 with a degree in Elementary Education. Emily was recently employed by Children First/Communities In Schools of Buncombe County.
Paul is the son of Brian and Liz Currie and the grandson of Lena and the late John Lennon and the late Samuel and Mary Currie, all of Belfast, Northern Ireland. A 1997 graduate of Grosvenor Grammer School and 2003 graduate of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, he is employed as a CPA by Falconer Stewart in Larne, Northern Ireland.
The couple are making their home in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
