Sara Elizabeth Agner and Kyle Maloney were married on April 6, 2013, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury. Rev. Gary Coble and Rev. Gene Bruce presided over the 5:00 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at St. Matthew’s Family Life Center.

The bride was escorted by her father, Rodney Agner. Tina Smith of Salisbury served as Matron of Honor; and Summer Curlee, also of Salisbury, was Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included sister of the groom Kim Maloney of Fort Mill, S.C., Ashley Tyler of Newton Grove, Emily Fogleman of Liberty, Julia Homan of Charlotte, Megan McManamon of Cornelius and Jessica Messer of Huntersville. Junior bridesmaids were Bree Tucker and Macie Curlee, both of Salisbury, and Carly Fogleman of Liberty. Peyton Fogleman of Liberty was flower girl.


Best Man was Carl Moore of Mint Hill, and Head Groomsman was Mick Doriani of Raleigh. Groomsmen included brother of the bride Daniel Agner of Salisbury, Jeff Varner of Concord and Jason Varner of Charlotte. Ushers were Jacob Fogleman of Liberty and River Curlee of Salisbury.

Scripture Reader was Ben Day of Decatur, Ga., and Kate McDermott of Charlotte served as Registrar. Music was provided by Peggy Hoffner, organist, and vocalists Zachary and Ashley DeCelle File.

Sara is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Agner and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Eagle and Mr. and Mrs. James A. Agner, Jr., all of Salisbury. A 2006 honor graduate of Columbia City High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, she received her Master of Arts in Gerontology from UNCC in 2012 and is a care manager with Lutheran Services Carolinas.

Kyle is the son of Ann King Maloney of Matthews and Phil Maloney of Harrisburg and the grandson of Agnes King of Matthews and Anita Musson of Didcot, Oxfordshire, Great Britain. A 2000 graduate of Central Cabarrus High School, Kyle graduated cum laude from UNCC with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2008. He is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and is employed as a deputy by the Rowan County SheriffÕs Department.

After a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will live in Richfield.
