sunflower gate welcomes Salisbury visitors on East Innes Street at Interstate 85, and a moon flower rests in the Salisbury Post courtyard.

These are two new locations this year for the Salisbury Sculpture Show, “Discover What’s Outside,” which is being installed this week.

Twelve sculptures will appear downtown and two at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. This is the fifth year for the nine-month show, featuring work by artists from five states.

Funding comes from an N.C. Arts Council grassroots grant, commission from the sale of two pieces in 2012, show entry fees and private donations.
