SALISBURY — A Clancy Street woman was charged Saturday with assaulting her neighbor with a butter knife after the neighbor called police complaining of loud music. The Salisbury Police charged Tiffany Nicole Cooper, 23, with misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury.

Authorities responded to the 100 block of Clancy Street on March 28 where Amber Mancini, 19, and her mother, Lisa Christensen, 38, indicated they’d been assaulted by Cooper. Mancini called authorities on March 27 about loud music coming from the same apartment unit. Cooper apparently discovered Mancini had called police. An altercation ensued and Cooper punched Christensen, according to the report. Officer’s found clumps of Christensen’s red hair lying in a grassy area. A report said Cooper threw a butter knife at Mancini, missing her. Cooper then picked up the butter knife and stabbed at Mancini, striking her in the bottom lip, causing her to bleed. Cooper received a written promise to appear in court April 25.
