SALISBURY — A man was wounded in a shooting near Brookview Apartments this afternoon.
Police could provide few details, but the man was hit in both legs while he was in the 700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue about 1:30 p.m. There is no word on the severity of the man’s injuries. He was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center by ambulance.
People at the scene said there were lots of children around the area when the shooting happened near the Wiley Lash Head Start building.
