Rowan County Sheriff’s investigators are looking into who could have set fire to a mobile home in the Chez Charolais mobile home park over the weekend.

Teresa Lambe Knight told authorities she was asleep inside when her dog woke her up around 4 a.m. The mobile home park is located on Chez Charolais Road. She discovered the back side of her mobile home was on fire. Her boyfriend put the fire out with a water hose, a report said.

There was a trail of accelerant, possibly kerosene, leading to the back door and along the deck of the property. The door and back of the property was heavily damaged. The Rowan County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating, along with the Sheriff’s Office. There has not been an arrest. No one was injured in this incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Adam Loflin at 704-216-8686.
