Three charged with faking returns at Kohl’s

SALISBURY — Three people from out of town took merchandise from Kohl’s store shelves and returned it for a refund, Salisbury Police said.

Anthony Maurice Beatty, 36, of Raleigh, Sheayan Tenell McCoy, 28, of High Point and Cancia Yene Slaton, 26, of High Point are charged with obtaining property by false pretense.


They each posted $2,500 bond and were released from the Rowan County Detention Center. They are scheduled to appear in court Monday.
