Good morning! Today I would like to tell you about a rewards program we will offer home-delivery subscribers beginning March 31. It is called “Advantage Membership.” Members will have access to all Salisbury Post news products and receive Advantage Member discounts from more than 200 different businesses and restaurants in the area and around the nation.

In listening to readers talk about their Salisbury Post, it is clear that people have preferences on when and how they read it. Some want the printed Salisbury Post delivered to their homes every morning. Others want to get their Salisbury Post both in print and online. Some want their news in digital format either online, by tablet or by mobile phone. Now we are proud to offer the same local news coverage delivered all the different ways people want to read it, plus a new rewards program for being an all-access member.

An Advantage Membership gets you home delivery of the Salisbury Post and full access to our digital products for $13.50 per month on our convenient easy pay plan. This includes unlimited access to the website on any digital device, including tablets and mobile phones, plus commenting access.

For those who wish to get their news in digital format only, a digital subscription is only $10 per month with the easy pay plan. Digital only members get unlimited access to on any digital device including tablets and mobile phones, plus commenting access.

The new Advantage Membership rewards program gives you coupons and discounts from local and national businesses for being a home delivery Advantage Member. The money you can save with this rewards program practically pays for your Advantage Membership. Advantage Members can either receive a card to redeem discounts from businesses or access even more discounts online.

Current print subscribers will be asked to register online to activate their Advantage Member rewards and access the website. The Post will guarantee the information is secure. New Advantage Members will also be asked to register and be able to pay through easy pay. Each household will be able to have two users with the same log-in.

Folks who choose not to be a member or to be a digital subscriber can view five stories a month digitally for free before being invited to set up an Advantage Membership or a digital subscription. You will still be able to see certain online features such as obituaries, celebrations and classifieds for free; views of these web pages will not count in the five monthly page views.

As we make this transition, our staff is ready to help you and answer your questions. A sample of questions that might be asked and answers is included on page 2A. If you have additional questions, please contact customer service at 704-797-4213 or visit  for more information.

For more than 100 years, readers have trusted the Salisbury Post to deliver community news and information. As news gathering changes, we still rely on our print subscribers and advertising customers as our main support. But as the digital age demands, we have developed additional ways to ensure the public is informed and up to date with what’s going on in Rowan County and beyond. With Advantage Membership, you get unlimited access to everything the Salisbury Post has to offer plus more.

On behalf of everyone here at the Salisbury Post, thank you for being our customer.
