Father, son issued citation for taking scrap metal from area businesses
Salisbury Police issued citations to a father and son they say were stealing scrap metal from area businesses. Jacob Esrom Auman, 47, and Dakota Blake Auman, 23, were cited with misdemeanor larceny.
Authorities received a phone call about a theft in progress from an East Franklin Street business. The incident occurred 10 a.m. Wednesday at Alexander Construction. Two other businesses — one in the 300 block of East Council Street and the other in the 800 block of East Innes Street also reported thefts. The department report did not indicate the businesses on East Council and East Innes streets. The two did not make entry into any of the businesses.
The metal was found inside the bed of the Aumans’ pickup, a report said.
