TYRO — Hannah Leigh Martin and Benjamin Gray Grubb were united in marriage Oct. 6, 2012, at Tyro United Methodist Church.

The couple exchanged vows at five o’clock in the afternoon before the Rev. Dan Gobble. A program of music was performed by Tammie Brown.

The bride was escorted by her father, Randy Martin. Her matron of honor was Lindsay Kimbrell of Knightdale. Bridesmaids were Ms. Kelli McDonald, Ms. Brandi Wagner, Ms. Erika Greeson and Ms. Ginny Grubb.

The groom’s father, Robert Grubb, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Coty Brown, Mr. Justin McIntyre, Mr. Jeremi Carter and Mr. Joshua Fox. Mr. Len Rummage, the bride’s uncle, was the usher.

Guests were registered and programs were distributed by Meaghan Leonard and Jodi Landreth. The wedding was directed by Mrs. Judy Perdue, and bubbles were distributed by Miss Claire McDade.

The bride is the daughter of Randy and Cathy Martin of Linwood and the granddaughter of Charles and Estelle Rummage of Lexington. A graduate of West Davidson High School, Hannah earned a degree in Business Management from UNC-Charlotte. She is employed at R&J Furniture Xpress in Spencer.

The groom is the son of Robert and Tina Grubb of Salisbury and the grandson of Mrs. Mildred Rowe of Spencer. Gray is a Captain with the Salisbury Fire Department and attending RCCC for Fire Protection Technology.

Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted by the bride’s parents, Randy and Cathy Martin, at Sapona Ridge Country Club. Stephen and Leigh Dauchert greeted guests.

The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico, and reside in Linwood.

Extended Courtesies

An engagement party was held at the home of David and Ellen Welborn in September 2012, given by family and friends of the bride.

On Oct. 5, a bridesmaids luncheon was held at Childress Vineyards hosted by Cathy Martin, Estelle Rummage and Lindsay Kimbrell. The groom’s parents, Robert and Tina Grubb, hosted a rehearsal dinner at Yarborough’s Restaurant.

A wedding breakfast was held Oct. 6 at the home of the bride.
