Cyclist not seriously injured after hitting a car at Innes and Main streets

SALISBURY — A cyclist was not seriously injured when he hit a vehicle at the intersection of South Main and East Innes streets just before noon on Thursday.

Nathan Rohl, 18, of Salisbury, was on the sidewalk near Pottery 101 when he came off the curb and around the rear of a Salisbury Fire Department truck stopped at the red light. When he came around the truck, he ran into the passenger’s side of a Honda in the left-hand lane on South Main Street. Dennis Nichols, 56, of Salisbury was the driver. No charges were filed in the accident that occurred at 11:41 a.m.


The teen, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
