SALISBURY — A Fox TV pilot based on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow will film in Salisbury, complete with police chases, a gunfight and a horse running through the street.

Sleepy Hollow could start filming as early as next week at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, the Confederate monument on West Innes Street and other locations around Salisbury, said Elaney Hasselmann, city spokeswoman.

If Fox picks up the show, several locations in Salisbury will become permanent backdrops for filming, Hasselmann said.
