SALISBURY — Two Rowan County men were arrested Thursday after investigators say a search of their house revealed drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and the Salisbury Police Department executed a search warrant Thursday at 4555 U.S. Highway 601 in Salisbury, the home of Cedric Myron Bost and Allen Hines Jr.

The search was based on information that the residence was being used as a point of distribution for illegal narcotics. During the search, about 20 grams of suspected cocaine was found in cargo pants being worn by Hines, the report said.

A small quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also discovered in the residence. In addition, $896 was found in Bost’s possession.

Hines, 23, was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for keeping and selling a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bost, 38, was charged with simple possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for keeping and selling a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The men were taken to the Rowan County Detention Center. Bonds for Bost and Hines were set at $15,000 and $10,000, respectively.
