Hanford Dole fifth-graders do morning broadcast
At Hanford Dole Elementary, the fifth-graders have taken over the operation of the morning news broadcast. Each student had to write a paragraph on why he or she would be great for the job in order to obtain a position on our news staff. They also had to have teacher recommendations. A group of three students on a three-week rotation produce the show. They work each morning to decide what information is newsworthy.
To come up with a name for the news program, each class submitted a name. It was a close race for the new name: Morning Paws.
