Sacred Heart jumps for Lillie
SALISBURY — On Feb. 12 at Sacred Heart Catholic School, the students and teachers participated in Jump Rope for Heart for the American Heart Association in memory of Lillie Edwards, a kindergartner who passed away from a pediatric heart condition in early January. The whole school came out in their red and pink (pink because it was Lillie’s favorite color) and supported the AHA. The school raised more than $500 in Lillie’s memory for the American Heart Association. The students all jumped rope during their physical education classes and had a great time. The middle school students even ried double dutch jump rope.
