UNCF breakfast for Livingstone is Saturday

The Statesville Area United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Committee for Livingstone College will host the second annual UNCF breakfast at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Statesville Civic Center. Cost is $25. It is open to the public.

The UNCF is the nation’s largest, oldest and most successful minority higher education assistant organization established to allow promising students the opportunity to attend college. The UNCF assists its 38 member colleges/universities, all small, private, liberal arts Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), with operational funds, scholarships, faculty development and technological enhancement services.


Funds raised will help provide educational opportunities to talented and deserving men and women who desire to obtain a college degree.
