Kent and Leisa Davenport of Rockwell are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Louise Davenport, to Christopher John Bryson, also of Rockwell.

Amanda is the granddaughter of Pete and Nancy Davenport of Rockwell and the late Ralph and Louise Bostian. A 2006 graduate of East Rowan High School and 2010 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she is employed in the Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast Pharmacy.


Chris is the son of Amy Bryson of Ocala, Fla., and James and Carrie Beaver of Brunswick, Ga., and the grandson of Bob and Mary Hedenskog of Norwood, Delores Roettele of Lincoln, Nebr., and David Bryson of Ocala, Fla. A 2009 graduate of North Marion High School and member of the U.S. Army, he served in the last combat tour in Iraq.

The wedding is March 16 at Rowan Shrine Club at High Rock Lake in Salisbury.
