CHINA GROVE — Landis and China Grove fire crews returned Friday to the scene of a Thom Street mill that reported a fire Thursday night.

Firefighters spent more than two hours Friday evening at Tuscarora Yarns Mill trying to get to the source of smoke that was filling a portion of the building. The under control call went out at 6:19 p.m., but crews remained longer to clear smoke from the mill.

One worker was cut on some of the ductwork later Friday night, but no serious injuries were reported either day.
