ASHEVILLE (AP) President Obama has visited the Asheville area four times. Three out of four times, he’s gotten some barbecue from 12 Bones Smokehouse.

Wednesday’s visit to an automotive parts manufacturer just south of Asheville was another success for the restaurant chain.

Anna Child says a man in a dark suit, with an earpiece and coiled wire hanging from his ear stopped by the restaurant shortly after noon and put in an order. Child says the order was written on Air Force One stationery.

She says the order totaled nearly $110 and included a wide range of barbecue, ribs and side items.

Local residents gathered in a couple of the restaurant locations in hopes of getting a glimpse of the president, but Wednesday’s order was to go.
