Woman charged in fatal stabbing of man
MOORESVILLE (AP) — Authorities in Mooresville have charged a woman with murder in the stabbing death of a man at a home.
Police were called to a home northwest of Mooresville around 6 p.m. Sunday after receiving a report of a stabbing. Officers said they arrived to find a man suffering from a stab wound.
A statement from police said 43-year-old Ronald Ketchum was taken to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center and then transferred to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where he died.
Mooresville police charged 42-year-old Dawn Bridget Kavanaugh with murder. She was placed in the Iredell County jail and appeared before a judge Monday, but additional information on her status wasn’t immediately available, including whether she had an attorney.
