Garrison Nicole Stevens

Garrison Nicole Stevens, daughter of Jay and Kimberly Stevens of Salisbury, graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University Dec. 20, 2012, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. She is a 2009 graduate of Salisbury High School.

Garrison was awarded the Outstanding Junior Civil Engineering Student Award in 2011. She is a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She was captain of the WomenÕs Swimming and Diving Team and awarded the most improved swimmer award for the 2011-2012 season.


In 2012, she led a group from the Clemson chapter of EngineerÕs Without Borders on a mission to Liberia to build a sustainable playground and is currently leading the research team that will travel back to Liberia in May 2013.

Garrison has been accepted into ClemsonÕs Civil Engineering combined Master/Ph.D. program, where she has been awarded the prestigious GAANN Scholarship to complete research for sustainability and resilience of existing infrastructure.
