Tamura Denise Turner Gray

Tamura Denise Turner Gray, a 1985 graduate of East Rowan High School, received her Doctoral Degree in General Psychology from Walden University on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013.

She received her Bachelor of Science from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro and her Master of Arts from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va.


Dr. Gray is currently employed with the Prince Georges County School System, Upper Marlboro, Md., as Director of an Adolescent Parenting Program.

She is the daughter of Edrena and Frazier Beatty Jr. of Granite Quarry and the late Jesse James Turner.
