Fire destroys 100-year-old Rowan County farmhouse

SALISBURY — Fire destroyed a home in western Rowan County late Friday night.

Greg and Kelly Hartsell, their daughter Madison Moore and her boyfriend Jordan Smith escaped the flames, which started in the kitchen and quickly spread throughout the 100-year-old farm house at 5703 Mooresville Road.


The family stood by helplessly as the home burned, Smith told the Post. They are staying with relatives in the area.
