260 show up for Winter Flight races

SALISBURY — The Winter Flight 8K took place at Catawba College today, although two hours later than planned.

Despite the inclement weather, some 260 runners and walkers showed up and raised between $4,000 and $5,000 for Rowan Helping Ministries. Many participants praised race organizers for working hard to make the course as safe as possible.
