Police identify Thomasville stabbing victim

THOMASVILLE (AP) Police in Thomasville have released the name of a man who died after a stabbing last weekend.

Police say Darrell Turner, 47, of High Point died after the stabbing early Saturday.

Officers were called to a home in Thomasville and found Turner. He was taken to Thomasville Medical Center where he died.

Eric Allen Whisnant, 28, of High Point is charged with murder.

Police have not released a motive for the stabbing.
