Brandi Lipe, spa manager at Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio and Day Spa in Salisbury, said brides she’s worked with want a very natural look for their wedding day.
“Sometimes they’ll want the colors of their wedding incorporated into their makeup, but most of the time they couldn’t care less,” she said.
Natural makeup allows brides to look like themselves, using minimal makeup to hide flaws and bring out their best features.
Becky Binkley, a cosmetologist at Merle Norman, said brides have been going with loose curls for their wedding hairstyle.
“Whether it’s up or down, the curls are loose,” she said. “The curls give a more romantic vibe.”
