Jalen Wilkerson earns Eagle

Jalen M. Wilkerson, son of Ms. Anitra Brown, recently received his Eagle Scout Award at Moore`s Chapel AME Zion Church, Salisbury, where he is a member and serves as an acolyte. The award was presented by Scoutmaster James Wilkie and committee chairman Mr. Kenneth Norton.

In the past, Jalen served as assistant Sunday School superintendent and junior usher at Moore’s Chapel.

He began his scouting with Troop 360 at Moore’s Chapel and later transferred to troop 373 at Sandy Ridge AME Zion Church. Jalen earned a total of 28 merit badges.

A 2011 graduate of Salisbury High School, Jalen plans to study and major in political science in the future.
