N.C. reps tapped to serve on committees
N.C. Rep. Carl Ford has been assigned as vice chairman of the House transportation committee. His other committee assignments include appropriations, the appropriations subcommittee on health and human services, election law, government, health and human services and state personnel.
N.C. Rep. Harry Warren has been assigned as chairman of the House government committee and vice chairman of the House public utilities committee.
His other committee assignments include commerce and job development, education, finance and insurance.
Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) announced that U.S. Rep. Richard Hudson will be appointed the chairman of the transportation security subcommittee.
Hudson, whose 8th District includes part of Rowan, announced that he will also serve on the House agriculture committee during his first term in Congress.
Hudson was also tapped to sit on the committee on homeland security and the education and the workforce committee.
