Waterworks Visual Arts Center’s yearly oyster roast is a hugely popular event, and it’s easy to see why: Besides the whole oyster and beer part of it, you don’t have to dress up.

The fundraiser is set for Saturday, Jan. 26 from 6-11:30 p.m.

You can purchase tickets now for the 8th Annual Oyster Roast & Pirate’s Treasure Chest Raffle.

Tickets are $70/person for members; $75/person for non-members.

This price includes all-you-can-eat steamed oysters and shrimp from Big Daddy’s of Lake Norman, pork barbeque from College Barbeque, sides, beer, wine, and other beverages, Koco Java coffee bar and Curt & Geri’s ice cream bar.

Back by popular demand is deejay Tony Signorino playing favorite dance music, and bartender Bobby Miller will serve up a new “signature” Oyster Roast Drink in a take-home cup. Guests may have Pirate Portraits made and there will be bidding on favorite raffle items.

Enter through Waterworks to the F&M Trolley Barn. Purchase tickets online at www.waterworks.org or call 704-636-1882. Guests must be 21 to attend.

All proceeds support Waterworks’ education and outreach programs.

Title Pearl sponsors are Shari and Bill Graham.
