SALISBURY — Several Salisbury and Rowan County residents will attend events and celebrations this weekend in Raleigh to mark N.C. Gov. Pat McCrory’s inauguration.

McCrory is a 1978 graduate of Catawba College, and the college’s marching band, Catawba Pride, will perform in the inaugural parade starting at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in downtown Raleigh. While most inaugural events that require tickets are sold out, the parade is free and open to the public.
