SALISBURY — Nothing but change was taken during a break-in at Tokyo Express on East Innes Street this morning.
Officers found a handful of quarters on the floor of the restaurant when they arrived just minutes after an alarm sounded about 2 a.m.
Video surveillance shows the intruder broke into the front door and went to the register. The business keeps only coins in the drawer overnight.
The white male was armed with a pry bar, officers said, and was wearing a ski mask. He also appeared to be wearing glasses and white shoes with black stripes.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
